Our Services

Dental Care

More than 80% of dogs and 70% of cats over three years old have some form of dental disease. Dental disease can be very uncomfortable for pets and the longer it is left untreated, the more complicated and costly it becomes to treat. At Brookville Animal Hospital, we conduct a thorough oral exam during each wellness visit and are equipped to treat dental disease if a cause for concern is identified.

Microchipping is the most effective means of identification for your pet. Similar to vaccinations, microchipping is safe, quick and causes little pain. Once the microchip is inserted you just simply register and rest easy knowing you’re protected in the case your pet becomes lost.

Puppy and Kitten Care

Puppies and kittens require special care for proper growth and healthy development. Brookville’s comprehensive approach addresses your pet care needs from disease prevention to proper pet behavior. Puppy and Kitten care includes:

  • A full physical exam
  • Vaccination routine
  • Proper diet plan
  • Flea, tick and internal parasite prevention
  • Spay or neuter
  • Microchipping
  • Housetraining and socializing consultation

Senior Care

When your pet is in their senior phase of life, regular check-ups are extremely important to address the early warning signs of common age-related diseases, such as:

  • Arthritis
  • Gum disease
  • Diabetes
  • Blindness
  • Kidney disease
  • Cancer
  • Dementia

The risk of disease increases with age therefore early detection is the key to prevention!

Brookville Animal Hospital is equipped to perform most types of surgery, including caesareans, tumor and lump removals, wound stitches, intestinal obstructions, extensive orthopedics and more. Our skilled veterinarians use the safest methods possible and utilize modern anesthetics to keep the surgical area sterile and safe.
Please see the surgical information packet if you have a surgery scheduled.

Vaccinations and Parasite Prevention

Responsible pet care means more than providing a safe home with regular food: pet vaccinations and preventative care give them the best chance to avoid sickness and disease from the time they are young. Puppy and kittens should be vaccinated between 6-12 weeks and annual boosters are required throughout your pets life.
